About Us
CHARTER MEDIATION is an independent, privately owned company formed in June 2006 as the result of a merger between two mediation businesses.
At the core of the organisation are two experienced, full-time mediators – we don’t do anything else!
We are not limited geographically and are prepared to travel anywhere inside or outside the UK, at clients’ request or requirement.
Bill Cardno MCIArb has been actively involved in mediation of family and commercial disputes since becoming accredited as a mediator in 2000 and was admitted as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2003. Bill trained as an accountant and was General Manager of a major law publishing company. As a result he is experienced in dealing with financial matters and familiar with legal principles and process.

Gill James MCFM MFMA has specialised in mediation since 2000. Her main focus is on family issues but she also conducts commercial mediations. Gill has worked in Asia and Europe; she was admitted to the UK College of Family Mediators and became a member of the Family Mediators Association in 2004.
